Mount Nittany Health is pleased to welcome Steven Vilensky, MD, to Mount Nittany Physician Group Pulmonary Medicine and the critical care department at Mount Nittany Medical Center.

“My philosophy of care is to always be open and honest with my patients,” shares Dr. Vilensky. “I strongly believe in the shared decision making process when it comes to healthcare. Involving the patient and the family in care planning is essential.”

Dr. Vilensky earned his bachelor’s degree from The Pennsylvania State University and his medical degree from Medical University of the Americas. He completed his internal medicine residency at York Hospital in York, Pennsylvania, and his pulmonary/critical care medicine fellowship at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. Dr. Vilensky is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in pulmonary medicine and critical care medicine (pending).

“I have family in the area, and as a Penn State graduate, I’m thrilled to be back. My wife and I look forward to raising our family in this community,” Dr. Vilensky says.

Outside of the office, Dr. Vilensky enjoys spending time with his wife and their two children, and is an avid amateur astronomer and astrophotographer.
