Wesley Neville, RDN, LDN, CNSC, Clinical Dietitian, Mount Nittany Health, makes an incredible difference in the lives of some of Mount Nittany Medical Center’s sickest patients. He is extremely kind, reliable, and always willing to help when there is a need. He is constantly praised by many individuals throughout the organization for always doing what is in the best interest of the patients he serves.

For many years, Wesley has exemplified all of Mount Nittany Health’s core values of caring, excellence, integrity, respect, teamwork, and stewardship. For the Employee of the Month honor, he is being recognized for his compassionate, caring nature.

Wesley’s nominator said, “Wesley is integral in advocating for proper nutrition for some of the sickest patients in the intensive care unit. He is very consistent in informing colleagues about the status of their patients and if any changes were made to their plans. Wesley is so kind inside and outside of work. Showing care for his colleagues is one of his strong points. Just as an example, whenever he is done rounding on the floors, he always signs off with a ‘Do you need anything?’ I'm pretty sure Wesley would give you the shirt off his back if you told him you needed it.”

Wesley is from State College, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Penn State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition. Wesley holds a Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (CNSC) certification with the American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (ASPEN). He has served the community as part of the Mount Nittany Health team for more than seven years.

“Each day I work with countless people that could just as easily be nominated for Employee of the Month,” said Wesley. “At Mount Nittany Medical Center I have always appreciated the team approach to patient care. The providers are all very approachable and will always listen to your input regarding the patient; something that is not as common in many other healthcare facilities. I feel that I can always discuss a patient with the providers, nurses, specialty teams, my direct coworkers, and many others to make sure we are giving our patients the best possible outcomes.”

When Wesley isn’t busy serving the community as a member of the Mount Nittany Health team, he enjoys playing the guitar and bass, and singing in local bands.

With 2,400 amazing employees, serving 19 locations throughout the Centre region, being selected as Employee of the Month is an incredible honor! Wesley, thank you for all you do, and for contributing to our mission of “Healthier people, stronger community.”
