Laboratory and Pathology Services

Outpatient lab testing is available at many locations on a walk-in basis, if your provider has ordered the lab work or if you have your paper order form for the lab draw/blood work.

About Our Laboratory and Pathology Services

Mount Nittany Health’s fully accredited lab located at the Mount Nittany Medical Center was upgraded in 2023. Pathologists, technologists, and support staff provide lab results to physicians for conditions, diagnosis, and injuries.

Our pathology staff works with physicians to determine what tests should be performed for you. We help standardize screening tests, making diagnosis as cost-effective as possible. Pathologists also help interpret lab results.

Our Approach

It is important to us that you review your lab results with your physician. There are times when an unusual result on a lab report may be expected, can be easily explained, or just indicates the need for additional testing.

All results should be looked at within the context of your health history, clinical signs, and symptoms. Your primary care physician is the best person to provide this big-picture perspective. For this reason, all Mount Nittany Health labs require a physician’s order. We only test for the specified prescription.

Please discuss any concerns with your physician prior to your test.
