A diabetes self-management class starting December 6
Join members of Mount Nittany Health's diabetes team - a Registered Nurse and a Registered Dietitian who are both Certified Diabetes Educators - for an important class series aimed to teach you and your loved ones how to live with and manage your diabetes. Mount Nittany Medical Center's "Life with Diabetes" program has been recognized by the American Diabetes Association for quality self-management education. The next session starts Thursday, December 6. Classes will be held once a week for four weeks (December 6, 13, 20, 27) from 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm at 120 Radnor Road, State College, PA 16801.

Topics covered:

  • The importance of healthy eating and nutrition
  • Creative and appropriate meal planning
  • Exercise and diabetes
  • Monitoring your blood glucose
  • How to prevent long-term complications

Registration:
There is a charge for the class, which is submitted to your insurance company. Please check with your insurance company prior to registering to determine if there will be any out of pocket charges you may incur.
