"I intend to treat every patient as how I would want myself or loved ones treated. My goal is always your best interest."
Dr. Wagner is a native Pennsylvanian who completed his undergraduate studies and residency at Penn State University.
“I spent a considerable amount of time in this area and wanted to return to give back to a community that helped me reach my professional goals,” said Dr. Wagner. “Mount Nittany was my home during my residency training. I really appreciate the providers who taught me a lot during my training. The specialists and primary care providers at Mount Nittany are the best that I’ve trained with and I’m happy to be a part of this outstanding physician group.”
After receiving his Bachelor of Health Policy Administration from Penn State University he went on to complete his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton, Lakewood Ranch, Florida. He then returned to State College through the Penn State Health Family Medicine residency program at Mount Nittany Medical Center. Due to his high evaluations and reviews from patients and peers, Dr. Wagner was selected as Chief Resident.
“The golden rule is what I live by,” said William. “I intend to treat every patient as how I would want myself or loved ones treated. My goal is always your best interest."
Dr. Wagner is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, The Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association, and the American Academy of Family Physicians.
Married and the father of a two-year-old son, Dr. Wagner is also an avid trail runner and cross-fit enthusiast. He is also an enthusiastic supporter of Penn State, attending many sporting events, and even proposing to his wife at the Lion Shrine.
“I’ve been going to Penn State football games for more than 20 years,” said Dr. Wagner. “I bleed blue and white.”
