Trenten Lancaster, MD

Trenten Lancaster, MD, provides inpatient pediatric care at Mount Nittany Health. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and completed medical school at Penn State University. He then trained at the University of Connecticut Pediatric Residency Program, gaining extensive experience in caring for children.

Dr. Lancaster's journey into medicine began at Mount Nittany Health, where he worked as an emergency room volunteer and technician. These experiences fueled his passion for healthcare and deepened his connection to the community. Dr. Lancaster values Mount Nittany Health's role in serving families and feels privileged to contribute to the well-being of the area he calls home.

He believes building strong relationships with children and their families is key to improving health outcomes. Humor is also an important part of his care philosophy. Dr. Lancaster often jokes, “Laughter is the best medicine unless you have shortness of breath,” reflecting his dedication to both physical and emotional wellness.

Dr. Lancaster is particularly passionate about newborn and adolescent medicine, helping guide families through these important stages of growth. His expertise and approachable nature make him a trusted resource for parents and kids alike.

When he’s not at work, Dr. Lancaster enjoys snowboarding and brewing homemade beer. He shares his life with his spouse, Madison, and their two rescue dogs, Bentley and Penelope.

He is also actively involved in projects focused on Adolescent Long-Acting Reversible Contraceptive methods and Asthma management, emphasizing his commitment to improving children’s health through innovative and accessible care.
