Kevin Peno, PA-C, is an Adult Hospitalist at Mount Nittany Medical Center.

“I grew up in State College and was born at Mount Nittany Health,” said Kevin. “I follow a philosophy of empathy and compassionate care. It can be easy to see patients as just numbers, but showing them respect and dignity is a sign that you truly care. They can sense that from you.”

Kevin earned dual degrees from Penn State University in sociology and psychology before earning a Master of Science from the Lock Haven University Physician Assistant Program. Prior to joining Mount Nittany Health, Kevin practiced as a physician assistant in hospital medicine at Geisinger Medical Center.

“I’m driven by seeing other more experienced providers that I respect and see do a good job; being part of their team, those with good bedside manner,” said Kevin. “It makes me want to stay late to make sure everyone is tucked in.”

When he is not treating patients, Kevin enjoys playing golf and basketball. He is also an avid Penn State sports fan.
