People are coming there in pain. Sometimes people need to be able to tell the doctor about the pain and need the provider to really listen. Someone like me does not go to the doctor until they are at their wit's end. It's a big deal to go to the doctor and ask for help. The PA-C (I think she was a PA-C) who saw me first REALLY listened and heard me. Dr Spencer is a lot more curt. I know he is busy, but if I hadn't been able to really talk to someone about the pain first and only saw him I would have been really upset. Despite that, I want to be clear that I know he is a good surgeon and I have confidence in him.
