The new Women and Children’s Services Unit welcomed their first baby - Presley Louise McCracken from Bellwood! Presley was born to her proud parents, Taylor Pighetti and Jordan McCracken, on Friday, March 18, at 8:36 pm.
Presley’s mom actually arrived at the newly opened unit Friday morning just as employees were finishing up their ribbon-cutting ceremony.
“I woke up at 5:00 am on Friday and just knew something was happening,” says Taylor. “It happened very fast. I arrived at the hospital at around 7:00 am and labored for about 12-14 hours.”
Presley weighed in at 7 lbs. 9.6 oz and measured 20 ¾ inches. Presley’s middle name is in honor of her great grandmother who passed away just a few months before they learned they were expecting.
Taylor described her experience at Mount Nittany Health as amazing and she encourages expectant mothers to ask a lot of questions.
“My experience was amazing!” says an excited Taylor. “I felt so comfortable with all of the staff and my nurses. They met all of my expectations and more. I feel very blessed.”
Taylor and Jordan have three dogs at home who they lovingly describe as Presley’s siblings - Kona, Oakley, and Trixie. Presley is their first child.
Congratulations, McCrackens, thank you WCS staff, and welcome baby Presley!
