There are currently 10 COVID positive inpatients at Mount Nittany Medical Center, ages 33 to 81, with an average daily census of 16 COVID positive inpatients so far this month.

To date, we have given or scheduled a total of more than 42,600 doses of COVID-19 vaccine at Mount Nittany Health. However, with just over 42 percent of Centre County fully vaccinated, we still have a long way to go until the majority of our community is vaccinated and we can further relax COVID mitigation measures and safety return to more normal routines.

All Pennsylvanians ages 12 and older eligible to schedule their vaccination appointments – 12 to 17-year-olds are currently eligible for the Pfizer vaccine. We strongly encourage everyone that is eligible to sign up for a vaccine as soon as possible.

Parents/guardians may register for a Pfizer vaccine for 12-17, and must be present at the time of the vaccine being administered to a minor.

To sign up for your COVID-19 vaccine at Mount Nittany Health, you can register on our COVID-19 webpage at mountnittany.org/coronavirus. Click “Sign up now” and complete the form at your convenience. As a reminder, you do not need to be a Mount Nittany Health patient to request an appointment, and there is no out-of-pocket cost for the vaccine. We will contact you with your appointment date and time.

The vaccine is the best way to ensure your protection against COVID-19, but isn’t just about you. It’s about all those around you – your grandparents, parents and friends. This vaccine is one step closer to being back together again.

As a reminder, until more people are fully vaccinated, please continue to consistently practice safety measures including masking in crowds, frequent hand washing and social distancing.
