Free skin cancer screening
Mount Nittany Health will offer a free skin cancer screening event for community members who are un- or under-insured.
Symptoms of skin cancer may include, but are not limited to:
- Flesh-colored, pearl-like bump or pinkinsh patch of skin.
- Red firm bump, scaly patch, or a sore that heals and re-opens.
- A mole that has irregular borders, varying colors, is changing, or is larger than the size of a pencil eraser.

Skin cancer is the most common of all cancers in the United States and chronic disease, such as cancer (melanoma in particular), was identified as a priority area by Mount Nittany Health's 2016 - 2019 community health needs assessment.
