Valentine-Themed Charity Ball to Benefit The Foundation for Mount Nittany Medical Center

The Foundation for Mount Nittany Medical Center will hold its 62nd annual Charity Ball on Saturday, February 13, 2010, at the Nittany Lion Inn. This year’s event theme—Love Is in the Air—is a nod to the benefactor, Mount Nittany Medical Center’s labor and delivery departments and the nursery, as well as the imminent Valentine’s Day holiday.

The event is led by a committee consisting of Penny and John Blasko, Sue and Darryl Slimak and Kathy and Jerry Dittmann. The committee is proud to support this program.

“Dianne Fortson, RN, Director of Women and Children’s Services gave the committee an impressive tour of the Labor and Delivery and Nursery areas of the hospital, showing first-hand the various items that they could use,” says Penny Blasko, chair of the committee. “It is very clear that this unit is run not only with great expertise and skill, but also with enormous warmth and care for the mothers and babies and for their families. We are blessed to have such a wonderful place to bring new life into our community.”

For 62 years, the Medical Center has benefitted from the annual fundraising event this year organized and supported by The Foundation. The evening of dinner and dancing with a valentine theme is designed to provide support for the programs and services that advance healthcare for the region.

The evening will begin with cocktails at 6:00 p.m., followed by dinner at 7:00 p.m. Dancing to the John Parker Band will follow the dinner. Black tie is preferred.
