Mount Nittany Health announces the addition of Samantha Nguyen, MD, to Mount Nittany Physician Group OB/GYN.

Dr. Nguyen is pleased to be in the area and joining the Physician Group family, sharing, “I was initially drawn to the area since I grew up in a college town, so I missed the energy that comes with a large university. When I interviewed with the OB/GYN group, I was excited to meet a group of people that were so welcoming and approachable, and truly enjoy their work.”

Dr. Nguyen earned her Bachelor of Science degree in human physiology, with a minor in public health, from Boston University, where she graduated cum laude. She earned her medical degree from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield, Illinois, and completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, Pennsylvania. Dr. Nguyen is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

“I love the excitement of being a part of one of the happiest days of a family’s life,” Dr. Nguyen says. “It’s amazing to see the way a new parent’s face lights up when they get to finally meet their little one.”

Outside of the office, Dr. Nguyen enjoys spending time with her fiancé, playing and watching basketball – especially March Madness, discovering and creating new recipes, and trying any and all ‘foodie’ opportunities in the area.
