The holidays can bring happiness and good times to many, but they also bring challenges for everyone, including weight gain. You can avoid a gain this holiday season by:
- Avoiding just a few extra calories over the holidays, especially those that that come from added snacks and beverages as well as larger, richer meals
- Be especially careful with beverages and be sure to know how many calories each drink contains (some can be as high as 500 to more than 800 calories)
- Have a few treats, but be mindful to be balanced by making sure to eat plenty of fruits and vegetables.
- Aim to exercise for 30 minutes a day (or 10 minutes of continual movement three times a day)
