Galen and Nancy Dreibelbis Pledge $1 Million to The Foundation for Mount Nittany Medical Center for Commitment to Distinction Campaign

The Foundation for Mount Nittany Medical Center has announced that State College commercial real estate developer, Galen Dreibelbis, and his wife, Nancy, have pledged $1,000,000 to support its campaign, Commitment to Distinction. The Dreibelbises’ gift supports Mount Nittany Medical Center’s single patient room expansion, to be completed in late 2010.

“Nancy and I believe that quality healthcare is an important part of any great community’s infrastructure,” said Dreibelbis recently. “Mount Nittany Medical Center provides a very fine facility for the outstanding medical community in this region. Our investment in Mount Nittany’s single room expansion pays tribute not only to potential patients of the hospital, but to our doctors too.”

Galen and Nancy Dreibelbis are previous major gift donors to Mount Nittany Medical Center, providing funding for the construction of the state-of-the-art Medical Center auditorium and conference center, which bears their name. “We are grateful beyond measure for Galen and Nancy’s continued leadership as we work to make the healthcare experience better for people in our region,” says Foundation Director, Kim Neely.

The cornerstone of Commitment to Distinction is a new three-floor, 42,000 square foot build-up of the existing East Wing. The addition of two in-patient floors and one intensive care floor will offer single-patient rooms and increase intensive care bed capacity.

Commitment to Distinction is led by The Foundation for Mount Nittany Medical Center under the direction of the Board of The Foundation and its Steering Committee. For more information on The Campaign or how to give, call 814.234.6777, e-mail or visit
