D&E Communications Pledges $25,000 to The Foundation for Mount Nittany Medical Center

The Foundation for Mount Nittany Medical Center recently announced that D&E Communications has pledged $25,000 to support Commitment to Distinction: The Campaign for Mount Nittany Medical Center.
“This gift pays tribute to our strong and evolving partnership with D&E Communications, as well as the D&E employees for whom we provide care,” said Kim Neely, director of The Foundation for Mount Nittany Medical Center. “Not only is D&E a strategic corporate partner, they are our top telecommunications provider, connecting our clinics and off-campus facilities.”
“Mount Nittany Medical Center expands the cooperative tradition of excellent medical care available in Central Pennsylvania. D&E is proud to partner with this organization that is committed to caring for our community and expanding the wellness culture we firmly believe in. We congratulate you on your state-of-the-art facility,” said James W. Morozzi, president and CEO of D&E Communications.
Commitment to Distinction is led by The Foundation for Mount Nittany Medical Center under the direction of the Board of The Foundation and its Steering Committee, which supports growth in the region’s healthcare system by offsetting some of the costs for the East Wing expansion, along with other funding.
The expansion will add 61 single-bed patient rooms and 12 intensive care rooms. Single-bed patient rooms will enhance the patient experience while also helping with infection prevention measures and privacy. The single rooms will also create a better work environment for staff and allow the Medical Center to better utilize space, reducing the need to match patient room accommodations based on condition and gender.
