Mount Nittany Health is pleased to announce the addition of Christine Tichansky, DO, FACEP, to Mount Nittany Health Center for Wound Care, after 28 years of service as a Mount Nittany Medical Center emergency department provider.

“In practice, I strive to provide both efficient and compassionate care to each of my patients,” says Dr. Tichansky. “Each person has his or her own needs, and I treat them as the individuals that they are.”

Dr. Tichansky earned her bachelor’s degree from Villanova University and her medical degree from the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri. She completed her emergency medicine residency at Geisinger Medical Center.

“I’ve always known that I wanted to help people by being a doctor,” says Dr. Tichansky. “After practicing for more than 30 years, it’s truly become part of who I am as a person. I look forward to continuing my career with Mount Nittany Health.”

Outside of the office, Dr. Tichansky enjoys staying active; she and her husband, Dr. Jeffrey Baker, will celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary in September on a biking vacation in Sonoma, California. She also stays busy spending quality time with her family that, in addition to her husband, includes two daughters, a greyhound and a cat.
