Alexander Building Construction Pledges $100,000 to The Foundation for Mount Nittany Medical Center's Commitment to Distinction Campaign

Alexander Building Construction, the company contracted to provide construction management services for Mount Nittany Medical Center’s East Wing expansion, has pledged $100,000 to the Commitment to Distinction Campaign. The Alexander gift supports the Medical Center’s East Wing expansion, scheduled to be completed by late 2010.
Alexander Building Construction provides construction management and general contracting services for corporate, commercial and institutional clients in central Pennsylvania and is a subsidiary of Butz Enterprises, Inc., which serves central and eastern Pennsylvania as well as parts of New Jersey.
Alexander’s contract with Mount Nittany Medical Center includes all oversight of construction for a 65,000-square-foot addition and renovation to the existing hospital. The project also includes significant upgrades to the Medical Center’s mechanical and electrical infrastructure, including emergency power systems.
The cornerstone of the Commitment to Distinction Campaign is a new three-floor, 42,000-square-foot build-up of the existing East Wing. The addition of two inpatient floors and one intensive care floor will offer forty-seven single-patient rooms and increase intensive care bed capacity.
Commitment to Distinction is led by The Foundation for Mount Nittany Medical Center under the direction of the Board of The Foundation and its Steering Committee. For more information on The Campaign or how to give, call 814.234.6777, email or visit
