Laura Hopple, BSW, is an incredible asset to Mount Nittany Health. She exudes kindness and compassion, while continually holding herself to the highest standard, and acting as a true servant to others. Recently, Laura went above and beyond for the mother of a sick baby who was transported to a different facility. At the end of her shift, she drove three hours round trip to reunite the mom with her child. She is always willing to go the extra mile for patients, ensuring they receive exceptional care. For these reasons and so many more, Mount Nittany Health was pleased to celebrate Laura as one of its Employees of the Month.

Laura is from Bellefonte, Pennsylvania, and received a Bachelor of Science degree in social work (BSW) from Lock Haven University. Mount Nittany has been fortunate to have her as an Emergency Department Case Manager for more than six years.
When asked what she likes most about her job, Laura explained that having the opportunity to provide comfort and support to families during their time of need is extremely rewarding. Laura is grateful to be surrounded by supportive colleagues: “I feel the Case Management department works extremely hard to ensure patients have the best outcomes and resources we can provide,” said Laura. “I am honored to be recognized as Employee of the Month, but would not be able to do what I do without the amazing team and coworkers who I am lucky enough to work with every day.”
