Amy Smith, Echocardiographer, Cardiac Imaging Department, is an efficient and knowledgeable force at Mount Nittany Medical Center. She is a wonderful colleague who always goes above and beyond to help her fellow team members, while concurrently taking exceptional care of her patients. Even on the most challenging days, Amy is willing to lend an extra hand by working additional shifts to see that patients receive the testing and care they need. Mount Nittany Health was honored to celebrate Amy as an Employee of the Month.

Amy’s nominator discussed her dedication and commitment: “Amy constantly goes above and beyond for the department. She is someone you can always count on. Each day, she is on time and ready to work. The department is lucky to have such an incredible employee and we are all fortunate to work with her.”
Amy is originally from Petersburg, Pennsylvania, and received an associate degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography from South Hills School of Business and Technology. For more than 17 years, she has provided excellent care to Mount Nittany Health patients.
Amy was extremely humbled and honored to be selected as Mount Nittany Health’s Employee of the Month. When asked what she loves most about her job, she focused on caring for her patients: “I enjoy working with and making patients my top priority. I like helping them figure out what is happening. I also love that I have the opportunity to work with such a wonderful group of doctors and coworkers.”
