Others:

In the interest of wellbeing, the Medical Center recommends no more than TWO visitors per patient at one time. This helps new moms and babies get plenty of rest and protects newborn babies from germs and disease.
Visitation in the LDR is limited to spouses or designated labor support persons. Siblings of the newborn who are younger than 10 years old may visit with charge nurse approval. Please be aware of noise levels and respect the other patients' right to privacy. Children shall not be left in the care of the patient. Everyone must wash their hands before touching the baby. Sinks are located in the patients' and visitors' bathrooms.
Patient Contact
To phone a patient in her room, call 814.234.6710
For mothers whose wellbeing and recovery depends on a quieter environment, the nurse may limit visits. Mothers may also use the fourth floor lounge or the rocker room to visit with family and friends. Visiting in the nursery is limited to the mother, father and grandparents. Others may see the baby through the nursery window or in mom's room.
Caution
Potential visitors who are experiencing any signs of illness are asked not to visit newborns. Newly born babies are most susceptible to illness.
