Diabetes education is available for individual counseling relating to all aspects of the management of diabetes. The diabetes educator and registered dietitians are available for individual diet planning or nutrition counseling. Mount Nittany Medical Center also hosts support groups, which you can find on our calendar.

The Mount Nittany Diabetes Foot Clinic provides education, prevention and treatment services for diabetes foot complications to ensure that our patients' lives are not limited by foot problems. Services offered include full risk evaluation, prevention, and treatment of ulcers, charcot fractures and other foot complications of diabetes.

Under the direction of a certified executive chef, the clinical dietitian team provides in-patient nutrition screening, assessment and education. Outpatient nutritional counseling is available by appointment.

 

 

Diabetes Education
