High School education or equivalent. Completion of a registered nurse degree program required. Three (3) years clinical experience. Must have a minimum of two (2) years critical care experience. Effectively functions as a team member and as a liaison between patient and staff. Supports and encourages harmonious communication skills. Uses verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills. Must have knowledge of cardiac arrhythmias and ischemic changes on EKG. Must have understanding of cardiovascular heart disease (CHD) and risk factor modification. Must be willing to independently study the field of exercise physiology as it relates to the client population. Communicates in highly professional manner at all times. Demonstrates a high level of mental and emotional tolerance and even temperament when dealing with ill people; uses tact, sensitivity, sound judgement and a professional attitude when relating with patients, families, and co-workers at all times. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Pennsylvania. Meets the American Heart Association’s standards for Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) and renews BLS every two years. After four months from the hire/transfer date, meets the American Heart Association’s standards for Healthcare Provider Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and renews ACLS every two years
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for per diem coverage in the Cardiac Rehabilitation / Cardiopulmonary Lab Departments. Wage Payroll employment offers a flexible schedule based upon your availability and our patient care / dept needs. Wage payroll is a schedule of work which is typically less than 16 hrs/wk or works irregularly ("as needed") basis.
Flexible start times to meet the needs of Cardiac Rehabilitation and Cardiopulmonary Lab.
