This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of a specialized training program in Aesthetics and a current Pennsylvania State license in Aesthetics. Other requirements include a minimum of five (5) years experience in performing chemical peels, microdermabrasion, facials, waxing and makeup artistry, experience in advanced therapies that include, but not limited to, chemotherapy support treatments, rosacea treatments, acne treatments, psoriasis and eczema treatments. This position also requires excellent promotional and marketing skills as well as strong communication and customer service skills.
Performs a variety of skin rejuvenation procedures, conducts skin consultations and educates patients about cosmetic treatments and products. Reviews the patient’s health history and any other pertinent information. Provides patient consultations on which treatment is necessary to help the patient with skin concerns and goals. Performs a variety of skin rejuvenation procedures such as chemical peels and microdermabrasions, facials, waxing and makeup application. Prepares a skin care regimen for patients to care for and maintain healthy skin. Makes recommendations and educates patients of the benefits and limitations of cosmetic procedures and treatments. Collaborates with physicians in designing individualized skin treatment programs. Promotes additional services and skin care products to current patients. Develops, promotes and expands client base.
