Minimum Qualifications
Associate degree or High school degree with Microsoft Certification or equivalent. Experience with the current Microsoft operating systems office applications is required. Working knowledge of PC hardware components and terminology is required. Previous data entry and/or computer operations experience. Excellent communication and organizational skills required.
Primary Duties
Posted internal and external simultaneously. Supports the Medical Center users and Information Services staff by providing first-line support in the Help Desk system (includes troubleshooting/resolving technical problems). Observes and monitors the performance of the Medical Center's information systems to include network servers, background processors, interface engines, ancillary systems, and physical/environmental entities (includes using appropriate software tools, monitors the computer hardware connected to the Medical Center's network to ensure continuous operation of real-time online computer systems). Performs routine maintenance and daily operations necessary to promote the integrity and ensure the continuous operations of the Medical Center's information systems (includes performing backup procedures to assure the recovery of data and operation systems in the event of a system failure). Performs data entry of charges into the Medical Center's database systems. Provides support to department projects that enhance the operations of the Medical Center's information systems.
