Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing. Valid Pennsylvania license to practice practical nursing. CPR certfication. Five to ten years of experience in an outpatient setting desirable but not required.
Primary Duties
To include, but not limited to: Functions by exercising sound nursing judgement based on preparation, knowledge, skills, understanding, and past experiences in nursing situations. Duties include preparing patients for examinations, assisting physicians with procedures, instructing patients, and performing various tests. Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards. Contacts patients to notify of abnormal test results, according to physician instructions. Arranges for patient testing and admissions in other facilities.
