Minimum Qualifications
Bacehlor's degree in Orthotics or eqivalent educational experience. Minimum of three years full time Orthotics experience. Broad knowledge of design and fabrication of orthotic devices. Good organizational and planning skills as well as the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Demonstrates exceptional skills in working with others. Articulates well in a variety of communication situations. Ability to deal with personnel at all levels. Board certified in Orthotics. Meets the American Heart Association's standards for Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) and renews BLS every two years.
Primary Duties
Coordinates and participates in the examination and evaluation of patient needs and the design and fabrication of orthotic devices. The orthotist assists with direct patient care for the Diabetes Foot Clinic on an emergency basis, complying fully with the orthotic and prosthetic practice acts.
Schedule
Monday through Friday, Dayshift
Holiday Schedule
Schedule may include rotation for Saturday coverage, dependent on patient care needs.
