High School diploma required. Three 3 years cooking experience as a cook or a minimum of 2 years culinary trade school with certificate. Must be proficient in sauces, soups, roasting, meat cutting, sautéing, steaming and all other basic cooking methods. Full understanding of PA state sanitation procedures. Serve Safe sanitation certificate a plus. Knowledge of reading and writing of English language.
Mount Nittany Medical Center is seeking experienced and multi-talented cooks to join our multi-faceted culinary operation. Qualified candidates must be highly proficient in all aspects of food sanitation and preparation methods; possess knowledge of current industry trends for local and regional cuisines; possess a creative talent in designing, preparing and presenting dishes for buffet and single service.
Wage Payroll employment offers a flexible schedule based upon your availability and our patient care / dept needs. Wage payroll is a schedule of work which is typically less than 16 hrs/wk or works irregularly ("as needed") basis.
