Winter Wonderland Charity Ball to Benefit The Foundation for Mount Nittany Medical Center

The Foundation for Mount Nittany Medical Center will hold its 61st annual Charity Ball on Saturday, January 31, 2009, at the Nittany Lion Inn. This year's event theme-Discovering Hope: Moving Mental Health Forward-will benefit Mount Nittany Medical Center's Mental Health Unit.

Dedicated to improving the mental health of all individuals and achieving recovery from mental illness, the Mental Health Unit is staffed by highly qualified individuals, including physicians, registered nurses, psychiatric counselors, licensed master's level psychiatric social workers, and a certified recreation specialist. This multidisciplinary team provides care 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

For 61 years, the Medical Center has benefitted from the annual fundraising event this year organized and supported by The Foundation. The evening of dinner and dancing, with a winter wonderland theme this year, is designed to provide support for the programs and services to advance healthcare for the region.

The evening will begin with cocktails at 6:00 p.m.,followed by dinner at 7:00 p.m. Dancing to the John Parker Band will follow the dinner. Black tie is preferred.
