The Foundation for Mount Nittany Medical Center Celebrates Its Winter Wonderland Charity Ball

The Foundation for Mount Nittany Medical Center held its 61st annual Charity Ball on Saturday, January 31. The Winter Wonderland-themed ball raised $62,000 to support the inpatient Mental Health Unit at Mount Nittany Medical Center. More than 260 guests enjoyed dinner and dancing to the John Parker Band at the Nittany Lion Inn.

“The Mental Health Unit adds value to nearly every service at Mount Nittany Medical Center,” said Kim Neely, director of The Foundation for Mount Nittany Medical Center. “We are gratified that our community so generously supported this important service.”

The Charity Ball is an annual black-tie fundraiser for Mount Nittany Medical Center organized by a volunteer committee. This year’s committee included John and Penny Blasko, chairs; Pam and Mark Righter; Sue and Darryl Slimak; and Jami and Paul Tomczuk. The committee selected the Mental Health Unit to receive the proceeds.

The 62nd Annual Charity Ball will be held Saturday, February 13, 2010, at the Nittany Lion Inn. For more information on the Charity Ball or supporting services at Mount Nittany Medical Center, contact The Foundation at 814.234.6777 or visit www.foundation.mountnittany.org.
