  • Diabetes affects more than 20 million people in the U.S. 
  • 6 million of those with diabetes don’t know they have it until complications arise.
  • Symptoms include frequent urination, excessive thirst, weight loss, fatigue, irritability and blurred vision.
  • Risk factors include obesity, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, and physical inactivity.
  • Those with a family history of diabetes should get tested regularly.
