Support the fight against breast cancer by “painting the park pink”

The State College Spikes will be holding a special Paint the Park Pink night this Sunday, August 3, to help raise money for breast cancer awareness and honor survivors and those battling the disease while having a blast at the game against the Hudson Valley Renegades.

The Spikes' players will be wearing special breast cancer ribbon jerseys in support of the fight against breast cancer, which fans can bid on during a silent auction. Additionally, the first 1,000 fans through the gates will receive a free drawstring bag.

The family friendly event will feature numerous educational opportunities for fans, with Mount Nittany Health representatives from areas including occupational health, audiology, cardiology, OB/GYN, urology, general surgery, reconstructive and cosmetic surgery, Cancer Care Partnership, and the Breast Care Center.

Held annually and sponsored by Mount Nittany Health, proceeds will benefit The Foundation for Mount Nittany Medical Center, which supports the advancement of healthcare available to the community. The Foundation will designate all the money it receives from this game to Mount Nittany Health's Breast Care Center.

The first pitch is at 6:05 pm, but the gates will open early for pregame activities. For more information or to purchase tickets for Paint the Park Pink Night, visit statecollegespikes.com.

The Foundation’s 21st Annual Golf Tournament raised $150,000 for the new Cancer Center.
