New hours of operation for health information management/medical records

As part of its vision to become the most trusted source of healthcare for Central Pennsylvania, Mount Nittany Health aims to provide accurate, efficient, real-time information across the system of care by transitioning to electronic medical records.

With the implementation of “One Record,” all of the patient’s health information is readily available on the physician’s computer, resulting in patients not having to remember all their medications, previous doctor’s appointments, or the most recent ER visit – it’s more about the time our providers can spend on making our community well and keeping them healthy, ensuring our patients receive the best care possible.

Mount Nittany Medical Center’s health information management/medical records (HIM) department plays a vital role in this transition, and will be changing their hours of operation to ensure timely and accurate processing of electronic medical records.

Beginning June 24, their new office hours will be:

Monday through Friday, from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm

After 7:00 pm and on weekends, HIM personnel will be moving from their central location on the ground floor of Mount Nittany Medical Center to the patient floors. Please also note that the office will be closed on holidays as well.

Requests for medical records can still be made at mountnittany.org through the “Request Records” tab, or by calling 814.234.6728. During closed business hours, requests via phone will be processed the next business day.

HIM will continue to provide its same valued services during this new schedule.
