Mount Nittany Health adds three physicians to hospitalist, intensivist programs

Mount Nittany Health is pleased to announce the addition of Daniel Lin, MD, PhD, and Peter Thomas, DO, to Mount Nittany Physician Group’s hospitalist program, and Naynesh Patel, MD, to the intensivist program at Mount Nittany Medical Center.

Dr. Lin obtained his medical degree from Fujian Medical University in Fujian, China and completed his residency in family medicine at Altoona Regional Health System (currently UPMC Altoona) and his research fellowship in nephrology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Harvard Medical School in Boston, Mass. Dr. Thomas received his medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, and concluded his internship and residency in internal medicine at Community General Osteopathic Hospital, where he was selected as chief resident. Drs. Lin and Thomas will join Mount Nittany Physician Group’s hospitalist team to provide high quality care to Mount Nittany Medical Center patients.

Dr. Patel will join Jaideep Sood, MD, FCCP, director of the intensivist program, to provide comprehensive care to patients in the intensive care unit at Mount Nittany Medical Center. He received his medical degree from Baroda Medical College of Maharaja Sayajirao University, and he completed a rotating internship at Baroda Medical College and Shree Sayaji General Hospital in Gujarat, India. Dr. Patel concluded his internal medicine residency at Saint Barnabas Medical Center, where he was selected as chief resident, and a three-year fellowship in pulmonary medicine/critical care at Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
