Listen up and protect your hearing

There are many factors that can cause hearing loss. Make sure you are protecting the hearing of everyone in your family by following these tips:

  • Monitor your children's toys by turning the volume control to the lowest setting and/or placing tape over the speakers
  • Do not wear headphones for more than 60 minutes per day
  • Make sure the volume of your headphones is set at less than 60 percent
  • Wear hearing protection when engaging in activities involving loud noise, such as:
    - Attending a rock concert
    - Using lawn equipment or woodworking tools
    - Target shooting
