Lights Out: Ways to Fall Fast Asleep

  • Wind down gradually by reading a book or watching TV to relax.
  • Do not exercise within three hours of bedtime.
  • Avoid caffeinated drinks and heavy meals before going to bed.
  • If you are tossing and turning, get up and read something light for 20 minutes, then try again.
  • Talk to your physician if sleep troubles persist. Sleeping disorders are common and treatable.
