Help Your Skin Survive Winter

While winter tends to rough up most everyone's skin, there are simple steps to take that can help your skin stay healthy and glowing during the winter season. Try some or all of the following tips:

  • Slather it on: it seems simple, but moisturizing is vital to keeping skin healthy during the winter months.
  • Use a humidifier: many elements - including cold air and heaters - dry out your skin in the winter, so run a humidifier to help keep your skin hydrated.
  • Wear sunscreen: the sun can be damaging to your skin throughout the entire year, but the effects of exposure are exacerbated when combined with any snow glare, so make sure to apply sunscreen whenever you're outside.
  • Consult a specialist: consider seeing an aesthetician who can help revitalize your skin and help relieve problems with dryness or itching.
