Halloween Costume Safety

Halloween is a night of fun and imagination for children. Make sure costumes are both entertaining and safe.
o Wear bright colors. This makes it easier for passing vehicles to notice your children. If you are separated from your child while trick-or-treating, bright colors will help them stand out in the crowd.
o Wear the right size. A child’s costume should be large enough to allow warm clothing underneath in the event of chilly weather. If it is too large, however, it could cause tripping and injury.
o Avoid masks. A mask can easily cause problems with vision for children. Instead, use kid-friendly makeup, which allows greater mobility.

The Foundation’s 21st Annual Golf Tournament raised $150,000 for the new Cancer Center.
