Courtney Sneath, RN, named director of quality for Mount Nittany Medical Center

As part of its mission to make people healthier, Mount Nittany Health is pleased to announce the appointment of Courtney Sneath, RN, to the position of director of quality for Mount Nittany Medical Center.

Sneath began her career in performance improvement in 2006 as the first full-time performance improvement nurse for the Medical Center. In that role, she accomplished numerous achievements, including implementing the “LEAN” performance improvement methodology, facilitating evidence-based orders set development, training staff in patient safety and communication concepts, and overseeing and developing processes to improve performance on key clinical quality measures. She has worked to ensure adherence to The Joint Commission standards as well as regulatory requirements. Sneath facilitates the quality metrics for multiple Medical Center quality initiatives, including improving care for patients with sepsis, stroke, and heart failure. 

In her new role, Sneath will work closely with physicians, staff and administrative leadership of the Medical Center to further improve the patient care experience.
