Celebrating an entire system of care

People visit a healthcare facility for countless reasons, whether they are receiving treatment, comforting a family member or friend, or welcoming a new life into the world. With each visit, they expect the best possible care to be provided.

There are many factors that determine the quality of care patients receive, but foremost are the people working within the system. While some healthcare facilities will celebrate National Hospital Week - which is observed today through May 12 - Mount Nittany is expanding on the occasion by observing Health System Week to honor all the wonderful people who comprise our entire system of care.

From our hospital employees to our outpatient clinics and physician group practices, all of Mount Nittany's physicians, staff and volunteers work together in a comprehensive health system - one that seeks to maximize the value of healthcare by providing more coordinated, aligned and efficient care for all of our patients.

While our tasks may vary, our role remains the same: to make life better for those we are privileged to serve. As we celebrate our own "Health System Week", I would like to express my heartfelt appreciation to all the deeply dedicated and talented members of the Mount Nittany family, of which I am truly honored to be a part.
