“Staying Fit (and Safe) This Winter”

  • If the temperature drops below zero, exercise indoors. Join a gym, walk at the mall or use home equipment and videos.

  • If you exercise outdoors, dress in layers and watch out for icy surfaces.

  • Drink plenty of water. Cold air has a drying effect, which can increase the risk of dehydration.

  • Skiing, sledding, or even building a snowman are all fun ways to stay fit.
