  • Buy age-appropriate toys and keep older children’s toys away from smaller children.
  • Avoid small toys that can cause choking.
  • Avoid toys with cords or sharp, pointy edges.
  • Always buy helmets and protective pads with toys like shoes with wheels, skateboards or bicycles.
  • Repair or discard broken or defective toys.
