Always attuned to the needs of patients, visitors and families, the Medical Center continually changes and grows to stay focused on delivering the very best care. Most recently, the emergency department and cardiac catheterization lab expanded their care areas. Three patient rooms were added to the ED, expanding its care capacity to 23 beds. In addition, the cardiac catheterization lab, which provides interventions to patients with blockages in the heart, was recently enhanced to provide digital viewing to physicians at Penn State Hershey.

In the next two years, the construction of three floors of single, patient rooms on the east wing will further enhance the patient experience.
