Credentialing

Mount Nittany Medical Center promotes quality care through its stringent credentialing process of physicians who wish to admit patients and use Medical Center services. Under this process, the Medical Center scrutinizes past employment and educational records for each candidate. Called "credentialing," this review validates that the applicant has achieved appropriate educational degrees and certifications, and verifies past employment records.

Mount Nittany Medical Center has an outstanding, board-certified medical staff of more than 250 physicians in 42 specialties and subspecialties. These individuals are members of various groups including single specialty and multi-specialty practices.
